SYSTECO's steel + foam panels are stronger, safer, and more energy efficient. They are also lightweight, transportable, and recyclable.
SYSTECO’s product consists of steel studs on 16 to 24-inch centers, engulfed within Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) foam. The steel and foam are combined into a panel by sliding the steel through the foam (utilizing a patented cut-in process). The panels are lightweight, transportable, and recyclable. The building components are fire resistant, termite and pest resistant.
SYSTECO’s steel + foam panels are stronger, safer and more energy efficient. The steel + foam combination provides a very strong wall assembly, significantly reducing bending and twisting compared to the traditionally built stud wall.
The insulated wall and roof panel systems reduce thermal conductivity through the 5”-7” thick foam panel and its 1” – 1 ½“ thermal break between the metal stud and exterior surfaces. This creates a tight envelope that prevents conditioned air loss and outdoor air infiltration, saving energy and reducing energy costs up to 50%.
The wall and the roof panels are comprised of materials with no volatile organic compounds which contribute to asthma and allergy symptoms. And they do not trap or hold moisture, reducing the likelihood of mold, mildew and bacterial growth which is dangerous to health as well.
SYSTECO’s shells are not limited to residential housing. The wall system can be used in a load-bearing application up to four (4) stories in a wide variety of residential and commercial applications. For high-rise residential and commercial buildings, the wall system can be used as a skin application over steel and concrete structures.
SYSTECO will concentrate on:
- Multi-Unit, Multi-Story Complexes – This may include 16-plexes which have four living units per floor and are up to four-stories high (Minha Casa Minha Vida).
- Single Family Units – This high-tech building system offers significant advantages over traditional stick-frame and basic steel framing. Galvanized steel studs are placed in the foam, providing additional strength and reducing the chance of frames bending and twisting. All SYSTECO components are natural insulators, very effective in both hot and cold weather. The frames shells and walls are also fire protected, mildew and mold resistant, holding up in earthquakes and hurricanes as well.
- Warehouses – SYSTECO’s wall panel system works great for commercial warehouses. The panels are faster to erect than concrete walls. The steel + foam wall panels are less expensive and provide more insulation value than currently used “metal” siding or “tilt-up concrete” wall panels. This increased insulation value allows the warehouse to remain cooler during hot summer days and warmer during cold weather days for those working within the warehouse.
- Software/Design – SYSTECO has designed a software solution to produce an accurate bill of materials and an exact factory order that precisely meets project specifications. We work closely with developers, engineers, architects and our drafting department to ensure good communication and detailed plans.
SYSTECO’s product has been tested and approved by the Hurricane Test Laboratory in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States (NOA No. 12-0228.17) to sustain hurricane force winds up to 170 mph. Part of this process involved testing by NTA (NTA Testing SSS020912-27) which demonstrated that the building shells can withstand considerable seismic pressure as well.
